When I went bowling as a kid I think it was somewhere near $1 per game, and you got your shoes and had some fun.  I went yesterday, we played one game and it cost 40 bucks.  To top that off I think my shoulder now hates the motion to propell the ball down the lane as it started to ache half way in.  Ian and Lexi had the mental stamina to actually play the game for about 5 frames, but then Lexi ran off with Jackie, and Ian just wanted to toss the ball and then go get another one.  Very cute behaviour, but for 40 bucks we can throw balls around at home.

Ian did manage at the young age to beat his Dad's butt at a game.  I was trying my hardest to get just one strike so I could go home feeling like I accomplished something.  In the 8th frame Ian ran up and rolled a 1MPH ball that hit the gutter blockers 3 times and eventually smacked all the pins down.  Go figure.  I tried to emulate his style and still couldn't get that lucky strike.
