I went to Disneyland for the first time since I was a kid. This time, it was

mainly to entertain my own children. I was happy after shelling out for annual passes to find out, they loved it! In fact, I feel incredibly stupid not getting annual passes last year when we first got here. For some reason I thought they were 300 bucks each. We also thought that the kids would just sit around wondering what to do. Disneyland is, in a nut shell, geared towards kids 12 and under. The rides are not as exciting as the amusement park rides us grown ups are accomstomed to.
While there are tickets that are that much, if you look closer, you can find other annual passes that have black-out dates. We got the cheapest the 119 dollar ones with the parking included. The way I look at it, the reason they have those black out dates is because everyone wants to go on those days, so...we get to go on days when there's fewer people! Sounds great to me, a win-win :)
Some Disneyland notes. We went with Greg and Courtney who are in their 20's and wanted to ride big rides. We were all about the Dumbo ride, Mickey's house, and other super tame stuff. Obviously, it was great to see them throughout the day, but we didn't see them much. Going with someone else just isn't going to work anymore. Course, if someone didn't want to ride a ride, Jackie and I could go on one...

Also, you'd think that once you get past the line everyone would stay cordial and keep the line to get onto a ride. Holy crap no way. As soon as you pass the line's yellow line, it's an all out free for all for where you wanna sit. Don't be a wuss and RUUUN for that seat. We kept
wanting pictures of the kids so we had to have certain seats. Being slow doesn't help. Move baby!
One last thing. Disney built a new park next to Disneyland. It looks geared towards older people. It's going to be great to have a date night over at Disney when we have someone to watch the kids at home. Again, no idea why we didn't do this sooner. One more fun thing to do in California. Woot!
