Another "helpful" feature that windows puts up on the task bar is a language bar. Close it, restart and it comes right back. Close it again, wonder why this isn't remembered when you restart, restart, and it comes back. POS!
To REALLY get rid of it, go to the Control Panel, and click on "Regional and Language Options". Click the "Languages" tab, and click on the "Details" button in the first fieldset. In the "Preferrences" fieldset at the bottom click on "Language Bar..." button and start unclicking checkboxes. Man, that was intuitive and easy - not! Thank you MS developer who made the wonderful Language Bar. I love you! Now go away.
