I got my magazine yesterday. No mention of Guatemala's Pan-American championships that were held in April (before the last magazine came out). I'm at a loss because I wrote and submitted an article with pictures that would have beefed up the paltry magazine that only took two throne room visits to go through.
While I appreciate that the USAR is pushing Junior and Collegiate players, I can't understand why they wouldn't feature the US Team on the cover. My own college team won the overall three years in a row, and we never got a cover. In fact, the US Team that went down to Guate consisted of players that have played around 20 years. They have given their time, effort, and money to the game. They have also played lots of tournament's well enough to be able to get the honor to be on it. Most of them have never been on the cover (including myself). All this and we couldn't make it on the cover, no less a mention or picture anywhere in the magazine. Wow...they sure know how to disappoint.
