So like, I haven't posted in awhile. Even got the, "why don't you
post?" comment, but just haven't been into it. But hell, I'm back
in. In like Flynn.
I was at the playground today. The whole family went, god both
the kids really tired, and they took a good nap afterwards. One
Dad was there throwing a ball to two kids, and he made a big deal after
each successful throw. Kinda reminded me of Ian and I. I
think kids love LOUD positive reinforcement. Whenever Ian and I
are playing rowdy and doing something, if I start yelling and hooting,
he just giggles and laughs. The louder the commotion, the bigger
the fun. Shoot, and I love to be loud. Yahoo.
A sad thing also happend. I was taking Lexi around, holding her
one hand while she learns to walk, and I overheard two little girls
talking. I came into the evesdrop with "Is your Mom here?".
"No, (nanny's name) took us here."
"Yeah, I wish my Mom was here."
"Yeah, me too. My Dad too."
Wow, quite sobering. Almost gave the children hugs, and started
crying; although probably would have been thrown in jail. The
children then went back into playing, talking about triangles and
squares. Not sure why, but I just think it's great that Ian and
Lexi have Jackie at home. Jackie's wonderful in so many way.
The job here is going ok. Some folks got a nod to come into the
north office for a meeting. They got pretty nervous when it was
known that the meeting was only for 3 people, 3 people that are at a
particular risk for a layoff. I'm wishing them the best, but not
sure why a manager would call a meeting to lay them off, just do
it. Not sure what's going to happen to us, but there seems to be
plenty of jobs out here, so not too worried.
Starting playing racquetball indoors again. Having a great
time. I'm starting to get back into good enough shape to run
around a bit and wack the crap out of the ball. I do worry about
the back, but might go see a chiropracter to see if they can do
something to help. I feel like such a pussy when I bring up my
back as a reason for not playing. I finally wanna go full steam
and am afraid to. Don't want to be hobbling when I'm 50.
ASP.NET 2.0 came out along with VS 2k5. Have it, haven't really
tried anything with it. Really want to simply modify the
screensaver RSS starter kit thingy, and will, just doing the US Open
stuff now. Might do something along those lines and sell it for 5
bucks after the open to raise some moola. Really want to get into
smart apps and HR type of apps. We'll see how that goes.
Have to create a ranking system for
MNP and then I'll move on.
MNP is sorta better, but I always learn more and it could always be
better, so I gotta stop working on it sometime.
Ok, enough rambling. Later Bitch!
