Cool article about how to create a start up company. The book also looks interesting. http://www.paulgraham.com/start.html
After having 2 kids I'm wondering if I could pull it off? It seems that this dude was surrounded with people that wanted to do the same things. I do, but only know a few people - that would only stop working at their current jobs if there was a guaranteed job waiting for them...
The biggest issue would be finding the software that companies would want to buy. I've always got ideas, but I think the biggest thing I'd need to do is figure out how to create prototypes faster. I always want to create a working version of something. Maybe create just the shell of something, make sure it kinda works, and then make it solid when people actually start buying it? This would allow us to go through ideas quickly until something hits.
