Our biggest customer is having financial difficulties and sure enough
as I alluded to in a past post, they are cutting some corners.
One of those corners just happens to be us. Unfortunately, this
will probably affect our business in a big way. Honestly though,
I'm not sure if it will be entirely negative.
For one, they could be back. This could be a temporary slump, and
in a few more months we could be working with them again. The
other thing I've noticed is that we can't continue to survive on just a
few customers. I believe that our marketing, and end-products
need to shift focus on new customers outside our current realm of
customers. Wierdly enough, another lead came in just this past
weekend, where I think we'll be able to create something that we'll be
able to sell as a CMS product to an entire industry (IE We found a gap
in services that we'll be able to fill).
Losing them sucks, but I have to admit that they came along to save the
day after I stopped working at my previous job. Now, life is busy
and getting busier, so I really have to make sure that our goals are
solid, we work towards them, and we squeeze every dollar that we can
from them. It's an exciting time - time to step up to the
challenge!
