Jackie and I got to get away for the night while Aunt Kathy babysat Ian. We decided to brave the sea of popcorn and candy eating teenage wierdies, to go see a new movie called “Meet the Fockers”. The movie is the sequel to “Meet the Parents”, a movie that stared Ben Stiller and Robert Dinero. We got there right on time, a little before the lights went out to see that the theater was packed. I asked Jackie, “Is this a good movie or something?”
Turns out the movie was pretty funny. There were certain times where I was rocking back and forth in laughter. I also loved parts that made me forget that I was in a theater with a bunch of other people. I haven't been to a good movie like this since Spider-Man 2 came out. It was just that funny. I also can't remember laughing that hard at any other movie since...well I don't even remember. The original movie was so-so, but the addition of the “Fockers” in this one put it over it's predecessor.
Jackie and I got home around 10PM. Ian had already gone to sleep at his regular time at 9PM. We had given him a bit of tri-menic around 6PM so I think that wiped him out. Around 10PM we all had to go see him, so we trudged into his room and I gave him some pats. Moments like this make me excited for our next one as well. He slightly stirred but didn't really wake up. It also makes me so thankful that all is well in our family, especially now that I just heard on the news that over 123,000 people have died due to the Tsunami in Asia.
