Well,...the house thing fell through. The woman decided she was just going to foreclose if she didn't get another offer in I guess. She has till the 19th, I looked it up online and its still listed as Active...what a wierd decision. She tried to play it off that asking 340 when the original asking price was 349 was a huge discount lol....
The kids are fantastic. Ian and Lexi are so wonderful. They say they greatest cutest things. Ian has just recently picked up Willie and I's "I dont like you" and responds to it appropriately. The idea is we dont like eachother, we LOVE eachother. So I'll say "Ian I dont like you" (of course in a very adoring tone), and he responds "I dont like you either momma" with giggles and grins lol.
We had Lexi's Second Birthday! She is so much like me sometimes its hilarious. Take her LOVE of Olives. I love black olives, and she loves them too. It's adorable how she'll pick them off her pizza to eat them, so for her second Birthday her treat was a little pile of Olives next to her Pizza. Wierd, but I'm sure she liked it :)
Of course, the curse of the video camera returned. I just dont understand why the video camera when recording would be red. It should be green. . as in "I'm recording"But no. It's red as in Push me to stop recording lol. So I of course didn't video tape Lexi blowing out the candles on her princess cake. Oh well,....I felt plenty terrible enough until Willie then had to say "Your about as good as my mom with the video camera :(" Jerk
We've moved again. We seem to LOVE moving. I told Willie maybe we should just buy a moving truck. But we moved into a way bigger/nicer place and so far is sooooo much better. I love the fact the washer and dryer aren't attached to the master bedroom so I can continue doing the laundry after the kids have gone to bed. It is on the third floor which is such a pain in the ass when I have groceries AND the kids to take upstairs. I guess I'm just going to have to become accustomed to waiting for Willie before I go to the grocery store, as much as I love the cardio I'm getting, Lexi isn't that good on the stairs for me not to have a free hand, and they can open the doors and when I tried going down without them I found them on the patio climing the things we have stored there now on their way to the ledge. . not acceptable lol
We went to Phoenix for their L.A. Fitness Racquetball tournament. I had a great time. I played a really nice girl who i believe was named Amber. I did very well. She found my weak spot which is drive z serves to my back hand side ... just can't return them, and thats how she won. She wasn't any better than me in fact I'd say we were very very evenly matched.
Oh....and Willie turned 28. For his birthday dinner we had Prime Rib (A wonderful fantastic recipe for this is to grab a box of Kosher Salt, Mix it with water to turn it into Slush Snow, Pat your Steak with your favorite steak rub, then form an ingloo over the Prime Rib and bake at 350 until an internal temperature of 160. The salt keeps all the juices in. You'll notice there are NO juices in your dish. . its fantastic!) Crab Legs, Mashed Potatoes and those yummy green beans and cake....No frills..just a nice dinner for his birthday. His parents were here helping us move so they were here for his birthday dinner....in general a really nice evening. Complete with sore backs :)
My last night of Racquetball League (sorry to jump around so much) was realy great. I've been improving. I guess next League I only get spotted two which is nice. I've been playing the same damn division for six years lol. Granted its a very sporatic career I've had lol....taking lots of time off in between different things, and then at time just not being able to afford playing....so its good that I've been able to play for a solid two years and start to feel like I'm ready to start double playing my Divisions (b's and c's) Anyway, . . I made it to the semi finals and lost in a tie breaker. . but I made it by playing two c players...(I'm in D's in my league)
The latest issue of Racquetball Magazine (which forums were Ceresia talking about btw??? Why is meetandplay such a bad word to the Racquetball Community??) Sudsy mentioned something that I just realized and thats the 45 degree angle of the step you take when hitting the ball. I told Willie that lately when I hit a really great shot, I dont feel it in my arms or my abs or my shoulders anymore, I'll feel it in my feet. And its always when I step into the ball but my front foot is at that angle vs still down the line which I think (in retro spect) is a horrible teaching technique for newbies that I was taught as a beginner. I.E. My step whould be just a straight line. . .I can't explain any better than that lol
So I'm excited for league to start up again. . I'm playing in the Irvine League but you only get about 3 matches a night, and we had just moved so I missed this week. Simply didn't feel like going at all...
So Qjakal..got any other Prime Rib recipes??
