A new Week, a New Beginning..

I'm beginning to wonder what the heck is the point of a title. I sit here probably thinking more about that than I do my actual blog. I hope that one day I will look back on my blogs and think "what a great title". I am reminded of (when thinking of my titles) my old Journalism classes in high school. We never got to write our "headlines". The prof/teach always did it for us. Probably cause we all sucked lol

So, I've decided that when it comes to weight loss, their is absolutely nothing worse than trying to get started while your in the harshest throws of a cold. I blogged about two weeks ago about how I wanted to "tweak" my program to include various cardio and etc, only to be blown to bits the next week by the continuing of the (what I thought at the time dead) cold. Man this one just stuck around and wouldn't go away. It affected me in ways that now leave me wondering,...did I just have the flu?? My body ached each and every single day. Sometimes after taking a nap at the same time as the kids, my body would be dreanched in sweat, leaving me to believe that I had a fever (though the big overstuff blue couch of mine tends to get pretty warm..) I had no desire to go anywhere/do anything. Unfortunately, the kids felt the affects too, as our normal routine which includes our morning walk to the park, changed drastically as all momma wanted to do was lay around and moan and complain about how loud they were being.

But today. Oh what a wonderful day. Feeling somewhat decent yesterday, but oh today. My ears weren't plugged after having been plugged for the better part of the previous week. My body wasn't aching. I had energy again...I was ALIVE! I got all my chores done, didn't mind one bit that Willie was sleeping in despite my pleas all week long that I was dying to sleep in this weekend (I understand and realize that he wakes up every single morning eary, but hey, so do I. We should come to a mutual agreement to split both days, and he had already slept in on Saturday), and he had taken Saturday, so all that was left was this morning, and here was Ian bugging me and Lexi yelling Momma both leaving me wishing I was in some far off distant country ....

So, first things first, whats for breakfast. We usually try to do a brunch of some sort on the weekends. Well it was daylight savings something that we had forgotten about and every one was up way before we were. So our idea of getting there before the church crowd,...for some reason failed. So we were off to the store where I could re stock on eggs, and other various ingredients. Then back home, made a fantasy rball pick for Manny who didn't want to make the trek to the office to make his bid, and finished cooking. After Breakfast, went and reserved the clubhouse for our Thanksgiving dinner. We're having Thanksgiving on Saturday and its just going to be The Fam (Us four Tiltons) The extended Tiltons (Willies folks and brother), and my Aunt Kathy who is flying in on thanksgiving idea, but the idea of cooking thanksgiving dinner and serving it in this god awful teeny tiny apartment sends chills all down my spine. And not in the good way. So its reserved.

Then the kids laid down for naps. I finished some chores, and took one tiny nap myself. Then read the newspaper, Ian woke up. We were supposed to go to the "Tidal Pool" but it was already 3:00 and we figured any "low" tide that left the little creatures in there was now a "high" tide, and would only get higher by the time we got there which would be well after 4:30, and colder as well. So we ditched that and found a new park.

I have to figure out what kind of clealiness I am willing to trade out for my now two favorite parks. One is usually trashed with litter...not so bad. Mostly on the weekends, and its usually your snack boxes that the kids dont throw away, birthday wraping paper, candy wrappers etc from huge birthday parties. This new park we went to today....well..we were on our way to the equipment and there was a pair of skivvies...and well, I'll let you use your imagination as to what brown substance was in there...Then later a used Tampon, then later a pile of glas...

Its a shame really that people can't take better care of their parks. I just find it simply unacceptable...

After the park we had dinner at Denny's. It took us an hour to get our food after ordering, and I ended up eating mine on napkins because the server never brought the second plate to split Ian and Lexi's meal. We ended up somehow getting this one on the house. No seriously, we're not sure how we got it for free. WAIT. We actually got paid four dollars to eat it.

I had asked to speak to the Manager, and from the very start, I told her, "I am not expecting anything taken off my bill, the food was great, but I thought the manager should know about this experience. We waited forty minutes for our food to come out. We walked in with cheery happy children, who turned into deamons after the first twenty and had to deal with them from there. When I asked the server he simply said the "cook is slow tonight" and I told him it was inexcusable. I then had to eat half my meal on a napkin because he never returned after the food was put down to see how we were doing..." She apologized and said she would comp, and I said that wasn't the point of my discussing this with her, but she did anyway.

Well at the same time the people behind me who were now just "taking care of the bill" also chimmed in, "your service this evening is terrible, we hope you get this fixed because we used to live here and come here all the time. This was really disappointing. Food was great, service was bad." I had actually seen these two get horrible service, however after arriving after us, they ate before us. . .

Then, no seriously, another family comes up, the woman carrying her 2 year old (I'm guessing the age) comes to the counter, while the husband stands at the door obviously infuriated, and says over my shoulder..while I'm speaking which gets me like no other but I let it slide "are you the woman we complain to?". So I am now totally justified because of the fact that I asked her to come out and listen to my story...well heres how we got paid. I had to go change Lexi. I told the Manager that Willie was my husband and he'd take care of the bill. Well somewhere between the last womans complaint, and me finishing a diaper change, Willie was handed four bucks and he thought I had paid. He put my CC in my wallet and left...

oops.

Then we went to Target. we seriously need to stay away from that store. Every time we go there its a 100+ bucks into Targets hands. Bike helmets, Memory Foam Pillows, Bath Toys, Trash Bags, a Gallon of Milk, some un necessary bath towels, tea light candels and a few more items were the usual unnecessary items culprits on the list tonight...

Willie also broke the side view mirror on our other car today. This of course after he drills two holes in my VW keys rendering the vehicle completely useless....I'm pretty sure that it will be covered under insurance...I only have a 100 dollar deducatible so thats not too bad....but gesh...

Well if you've read this far...thank you. Now comment :)

Yeah...been there done that all too often. It's amazing how often we're late for things and it's not always the kids fault, much as I'd like to lay it on her....lol. :-0

You'd better keep Willie away from everything but the computer and a racquetball court until he gets himself together!!
