I actually had complaints that they had to spot me four points. I was beating the C players. In their defense though...these guys aren't C players. And a few of them feel the need to take it easy on me, which annoys the crap out of me. For instance, this one left handed guy, (I dont know everyones names yet), has a killer drive serve, in a C player sense. He never uses it until I'm up on him like 9-2. He serves like crazy then once up on me, or at 9, he lobs again. .... thats irritating. If you're going to kick my butt, kick it...
So in this league, I think I'm coming in at the low end of the C Division. But again, thats with my four points. There are only about 3-4 people I can't hang with at all. They annialate me. But the rest, I do pretty well against. I just thought it was cool that the boys were all whinning like babies that they shouldn't have to spot me four lol. I just think they need to step up.
It felt good to be back on the courts and back into "non broken body" mode after that last tournament. I could actually play again lol
In the homefront. Colds absolutely suck. This one is just not going away. We got over it last week, only to have it again two days later. Ian had a fever last night at around 4:30 a.m. and was thrashing like a crazy man in bed. Willie woke me up as I had fallen asleep on the couch after watching a show, and he knows better than to ever try to move me. I of course fought him tooth and nail about him needing medicine and I didn't need to wake up and probably threw in a couple of other insults in there too (I'm not good at being woken up), but I"m glad I did. I gave him the medicine, and within minutes he was sleeping better, and this morning the fever had broke.
We're supposed to go to the pumpkin patch today. Kids are a funny thing. If they are sick, you'd never know it. They want to run, and play and explore just like normal. Nothing gets in the way of being a kid. But mom draws the line when its fever time. If they have fevers I dont take them anywhere vs. if they have the sniffles we'll still go places, but not places that they expose other kids like the kids club or etc, but Disney...heck yeah :) they love that place. So, I'm going to keep my hand on Ian all day to make sure he doesn't spike another fever, if he's okay when its pumpkin patch time, we...MIGHT go. Still not sure.
We also have an interview with the new Pediatrician today. They can't get their flu shots until they no longer have cold symptoms, and since this is a new doctor/new insurance I wasn't really sure what to do to get medical records and stuff sent in, but the really nice receptionist had the idea of a "interview" so we could get to know the doctor, and fill out the required forms for the medical records.
I'm really glad to have better insurance again. Nothing against Kaiser....well actually everything against Kaiser. It was really hard to get in to see specialists. The doctor I was seeing kept saying "you dont need one you dont need one", and now I have a doctor who is doing extensive lab work, and trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with me. I've been having a host of hormonal problems lately and irregular "cycles" and all kinds of wierd things. I of course immediately think of the brain tumor thing, and how the last MRI came back with what Kaiser Doc called "scar tissue". But its on my pituitary gland. Could it be causing problems?? That sort of stuff. So i'm excited to see a ... better doctor :)
Thats about it.
