My first nothing weekend in a long time that is. However that dang cold bug that I bloged about on Saturday did in fact rear its ugly head on Sunday. I guess if theirs any day for a cold to show up, its on the weekend. Today - Monday - Ian has it as well.
I'm down four pounds! I'm actually really proud of that. I've been making little subtle changes to my eating habits, drowning myself in water every day, and really increased exercise. However, now with this stupid cold, I can't go to the gym. I dont like taking Ian and Lexi to the Kids Club when they are sick because I dont think thats fair to other parents, even though I know some dont follow the same golden rule do unto others,...I do.
BUT, we have a workout room in our apartment complex. So I'v decided that tonight when Willie gets home, I'll have him watch the kids and run just across the street and jump on the machines there. Tuesday is Racquetball night, and then Wednesday I want to do some more of the cardio/eleptical stuff I talked about on the forum's with Q and another individual who added valuable input, just can't remember the name.
Well back to the weekend. Saturday night, we went to the Macaroni grill. I love that place. We had a rebate that came in the mail that was unexpected money so we splurged it on something like a nice dinner. It was really nice, and I had a great time. We left and while Willie had been parking the car he noticed that the area we were in had all these places for shopping and stuff, so we took the kids and walked all over. Willie bought a Cigar (dont worry he never inhales, its just an once a year thing for him..) and while we were walking we walked past a place that had the cutest little 50's girls outfits. I wanted to run inside cause thats what Lexi is going to be (i've already made her costume), and while I was waiting for Willie to come back and grab Lexi so I could take a quick childless gander inside, I look up and see Rocky and Jennifer. Remember Willie had just played racquetball that a.m. with Rocky, so it was a surprise to see them. They were meeting Chris Crowther, and Josh Tucker, at a restaurant next door. Rocky grabbed Willie and they went and said Hello and left the gals at the store to shop.
Then Sunday. Well we were going to go to Brunch, but Ian wouldn't stop crying so Willie got to the car, and said you sure you want to go with them like this, I said Heck no, and we went back upstairs. Willie apologized and I reminded him that it wouldn't be enjoyable for me if the kids were misbehaving so maybe some other weekend. We ate at home, Willie offered to cook, but I was hungry and if I gave him the controls I wasn't sure if I'd be served something edible :)
I of course at this point had the nasty bug, and felt cruddy, so we watched the online Women's Pro Stuff, and when it started having problems we switched it off and popped in a mommy and daddy dvd and had the kids lay down and watched a few of ours shows. I took a VERY WELL NEEDED nap, and when i woke up man did I feel better!
Well what weekend would be complete without a senseless pointless hurt feeling fight? Not ours. So we got that out of the way. Even took seperate cars to seperate places, only for me to show up at the park, realize I wanted Willie there, got back in the car, and went and got him at Home Depot. We must be on the same wavelength though because when we Walked in (the kids and I) there was Willie Moping around...lol. It was quite a site. We just hugged and laughed, and went and looked and bought a new drill.
Then we went to Target. I LOST. I lost the fight with my two year old. He is going to be superman for halloween. We bought his costume, and then went off to the park. We stayed at the playground equipment for sometime, then we went "exploring" for pinecones, and baby trees. Then we went to our favorite past time restaurant for dinner, frescas. When we lived in HB we went there once a week. Either tuesday or Thursday, Depending on how my menu ran out of food and when I ran out of the desire to make dinner. We haven't found one in our area so when we found it we were super excited. We love the food, and if you order the platters with a drink the kids meals are free, so they get a meal a drink and a cookie FREE!...
Then we had to stop by the store I was out of ground chicken and lemon, came home, hung out, put the kids to bed, watched and relaxed with a little more t.v. then went to bed. I LOVE do nothing weekends :)
