This isn't a post about the book, its a post about Ian and Lexi. Their moods are so...sporatic. Yesterday, Ian was a Demon. Lexi, well she has only moments of being possessed, but she has them. But for the most part, its her brother that brings it out of her, and then, well she's still to dang cute :)
Ian however, its like he alternates days. For Example. Monday...MAN WHAT A GREAT KID. All day long.We were actually so sad to have to put him to bed. We were enjoying his company SO much. Yesterday though, it was all I could do to keep from heaving him over the balcony.
Today, AGAIN. He's an angel. We are at the park, and he's sharing his toys, he's not grabbing toys out of other kids hands like he was doing the day before. He was keeping his growling to a minimum and even found a fellow growler to chase around and growl with. Ran up and down the hill, didn't scream when it was time to leave, and now, in the most angelic of forms, is sitting on the couch content watching a bugs life and eating his lunch. Oh so quietly while sister takes her nap. ... What I wouldn't give to have more days like this.
I've tried and I've tried to figure out the secret solution. Is it:
1. Take the kids to the park immediately after breakfast
2. Take the kids to the park about 2 or so hours after Breakfast
3. Take the kids to the park after luncH (which is always a failure cause thats Lexi's Nap time).
4. Take the kids to the park right before its time to start preparing dinner?
I think honestly number one works the best.
The other variable in the equation. To drive or to walk in the stroller, that is the question. Yesterday Ian was being so TERRIBLE I didn't even dream of putting him in the stroller to sit and kick and punch Lexi the whole way. So we drove, but I think the confinement of the stroller on days when he's behaving actually promote a better park trip because he's excited to be there and had a few moments to calm down to prepare for the up and coming run around fun fest.
Other variable: toys or no toys. Yesterday when I brought toys, He wouldn't share but expected everyone else to share with him. That was a huge failure.
so I think. the dream equation is
pab + -T + W=FAB
Park after breakfast plus no toys and walking = fabulous angel babies
Who knows.
