Poor guy. We go to the park every morning. I load them up in the double stroller, and we walk to the park. We get there and about 30 minutes into our usual hour and a half trip to the park, Ian, while playing on a piece of equipment starts yelling "momma bee, bee bee" and swatting at his leg. Before I get up to him, he's screaming. When I reach him, I see the dead Bee laying on the ground, and ian itching at his leg like crazy. Sure enough, he was stung. He was screaming worse than when he gets a shot,..mostly because when he gets his shots, he doesn't cry. Wierd, but he doesn't.
I am totally not sure what to do here. I'm a little freaked out because I walk to the park instead of drive, so in a life threatening emergency, which this was not, I am sort of stranded. I did have my cell phone. So I loaded both kids up in the stroller, and at this point, Ian is furious. Not because of the bee sting but because we have to leave. I just wasn't sure that if he *was* allergic, how long it would take for symptoms to present, right now, three hours from now? Whenever they did, I wanted to be at home. I know where the nearest emergicare because just for good measurement, I've made it a habit of knowing where one is when we travel/move.
Well he's fine. He complained the rest of the day about having to leave the park early. By lunch time Willie couldn't even detect the spot where he'd been stung. So,. . Ian is not allergic to bees :), and mom is now a pretty knowledgable gal on what to do in case of allergic reactions thanks to all the (so I thought at the time) worthless books that every one bought me when Ian was only 2 months old in Utero. lol (that little crack of a joke means I came home and read up on a bunch of stuff)
Other than that, things with our immediate family are great.
I want to blog later on my grandma, but that will be a very long, personal blog, that I dont have time for right now. Dadda and Ian went out for our nightly trip to the hot tub without me (the hot tub replaced our nightly walks) because Lexi was a horrible grouch after missing her nap, and went to bed early. I have a feeling its going to be one of those nights...sigh..
So my internet time is cut short, and I dont want to waste it blogging :)
