Not a lot has been going on...That is actually a lie, there has been a lot of stuff going on, it just doesn't really feel ...blog worthy lol.
We are moved in to our new home. Small is the word. In the process of unpacking, I unloaded 8 large large black trash bags of clothes, just clothes alone, to a local shelter. I also have four chairs too many. I would love to get rid of the pappasan and keep my comfy five dollar garage sale chair, but I think the $80 Pier 1 wedding gift has seniority of some sort. Then theirs the King size bed we dont need, and are trying to find a way to get it BACK to Huntington Beach where a friend of ours wants it.
Lots of little trips to Home Depot, and other places to get things we didn't need at our old place such as bathroom floor mats, new trash cans because our kitchen is so puny there is no room for a trash can under the sink or in the kitchen, and I told Willie if we're putting our trash can in the living room its going to be a good one, not some little stinky thing.
I guess the exciting news for me, is I started Online Weight Watchers. I'm doing really well. I have issues though..I'm not sure if the exercise points are or aren't supposed to count already, but all I know is I went to rball league last night, and came home absolutely famished. I ate, I didn't even count it, if I dont eat when I'm that hungry I actually start to feel like puking, so I just ate. Then drank tons of water. Felt much better. My first Weigh in is on Monday. Willie is being a trooper, though him breaking out his Sun Chips snack and devouring what was left of the bag next to me didn't help. I grabbed a handful, didn't feel bad about that either, love those flex points lol.
Willie and I found the closest L.A. Fitness, I gotta tell you, I love this gym. They're everywhere out here, and I have no difficulties getting to a rball court. Willie and I played last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, then I played Thursday, and Willie utilized the courts across the street from his work yesterday for a Lunch Time workout.
The kids are great. Ian is goign to be a Travolta style Greaser for Halloween, and Lexi is going to be an Sock Hop girl...too cute. I'm so excited lol. Though I'm sure I'm going to meet some opposition because Ian has already expressed he wants to be Superman...
We were at Home Depot the other day, and sure enough, the shoping cart Dilema continues, only this time a know it all snob had to input her two cents. So we were coming back from the courts, Ian and Lexi aren't allowed to wear shoes in the kids club so I didn't have any with me. No biggie, we're just here getting screws for the table. So were in the screw Isle and some know it all snot came by and said something to the affect of "pretty rough place for no shoes." Now I have been telling Willie about all these comments/looks I get when I let the kids go around barefoot, and he sort of just passed it off as one of those times when I am too sensitive/over reacting, but here it was. Right in front of him. I said loudly enough so everyone could hear me..of course..See, there is someones .02 cents. Too bad her comment couldn't be about how stores these days dont have enough shopping carts to accomodate two children. Willie just said, Wow, she has nothing better to complain about?? It was a stupid comment, and I've already told Willie I'm not conforming...I've waged war ...
Now dont get me wrong, they wear shoes all the time. To Disney, to the Car because the rocks and glass that might be in the street hurt them,..but here we are on a cement floor, I held him into the building, held him out, we are AWARE of him being shoeless so if we see a big ol' pile of glass I'm sure we'll pick him up...grrr...I shouldn't have even got started on this topic...
But other than that, things are great.
